There are many conflicting answers to similar questions on these forums.

The laptop came with a standard barrel plug type charger. There is also a USB-C port.

I’m trying to figure the minimum wattage for USB-C charging.

The owners manual has the following specifications.

All those listings including USB-C seem to imply that 15v, 2A, 30W or better should suffice.

Am I reading that right?

@CBecke

What is your Pavillion 14-ek0000 ? For example

                   HP Pavilion Laptop 14-dv0000nw

You can use a compatible USB-C charger with wattage rating 45W or above to charge above machine. 30W is too weak, it can charge your machine when sleep or off.

Regards.
