Pavillion CS0511SA
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Hi, I have a HP pavillion cs0511sa and recently bought an adapter that would go into the USB-C port and it would give me more USB ports, HDMI ports, SD card and TF card ports. When I plugged it in, my laptop didn't even register that there was something plugged in. Is my laptop capable of sending video, mouse, keyboard and normal data through this port?

Thanks, managed to get the mouse and keyboard working though it but still not getting any video coming through

@Sam246

No, you won't get video. The USB-C port on your machine does NOT support that. Please don't waste your time and money.

What is your Pavillion CS0511SA  ? Is it an HP Pavilion 15-CS0511SA ? Its specs

which shows it only has 1 USB 3.1 Type-C™ Gen 1 (Data Transfer up to 5 Gb/s, HP Sleep and Charge) port. I can simply says what ever your adapter is, it is not compatible with your machine.

Regards.
