Hi, I need help in understanding this description on the USB-C port in my HP Victus laptop.

 

1 SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 5Gbps signaling rate (DisplayPort™ 1.4, HP Sleep and Charge)

 

1. Does this mean I can use this USB-C port to connect my laptop to a single external monitor?

2. My external monitor doesn't have USB-C port but has display port 1.2 and an  HDMI 2.0 port, can I use a USB-C to HDMI/Display port type of cable and have a secondary monitor?

Hi:

 

Yes, that is what it means and yes, you can buy a USB-C to Display port cable to connect from your PC to your monitor.
