Hi,

I want to connect the usb type on my laptop to an external monitor but doesn't seem to work. It's Pavilion Laptop 15-eg1000

What is your PC 15-eg1000 (43F52AV)  ? It could be one of the following machines

 

               https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-pavilion-laptop-pc-15-eg1000/2100893647/product-info

 

For example :          HP Pavilion Laptop 15-eg1161nw

 

Your machine should have same ports as the above machine. It supports video out. How do you connect them ?

Thank you for the reply and confirmation. I am using a D-Tech type-c to VGA converter to connect the laptop to the external monitor. After connecting, the second screen is not detected on my laptop
