Hi:
See if these amd usb drivers from a HP business notebook works for you...Install both, and restart the PC
This package provides the AMD USB 3.0 Host Controller Driver for the supported notebook models and operating systems. The driver enables USB 3.0 devices.

AMD USB Filter Driver is a USB upper-class filter driver for the AMD chipsets. The AMD USB Filter Driver provides power management and performance optimizations on supported notebook models running a supported operating system.

There could literally be a dozen different devices labeled as Unknown when a driver is missing.
The only way to know which one it is for sure is to get the hardware ID from it.
Use this guide for how to find the hardware ID for a device that needs a driver...

If you want me to give you the driver you need for the unknown device, please post the hardware ID for it.

Yes, that is the 3D driveguard device.
I have SSD's in my HP notebooks, and what I did was to manually install the driver without the controlling software just to get rid of the unknown device in the device manager.
The device is not necessary with a SSD because what it does is to park the heads of the mechanical hard drive in the event the notebook is bumped or dropped.
So, here is what I did. Feel free to follow or to leave the device uninstalled.
Download and install this free file utility. The 2nd file at the top of the page is for 64 bit.
Then download and save, but do not run this driver.
This package provides the HP 3D Driveguard Software (HP ProtectSmart Hard Drive Protection) for supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system. The HP 3D Driveguard Software protects the hard drive by parking the heads if the notebook is accidentally dropped, or is abruptly impacted by another object.

After you save the driver file, right click on it and select 7-Zip from the list of items on the menu.
Have 7-zip Extract to: and let it extract the file into its folder name.
Then go to the device manager, click on the unknown device. Click on the driver tab. Click on Update Driver.
Select the Browse my computer for driver software and browse to the driver folder 7-Zip created.
Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked, and the driver should install.
Then restart the PC.
