HP OMEN Notebook - 15-5100np (ENERGY STAR)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I just replaced the 256GB M.2 SATA SSD (SD6PP4M-256G-1006) of my HP Open 15-5100np, with a 512GB one.

I would like to use the old 256GB m.2 with a USB enclosure, but so far i've not been successfully, i tried with these 2:

i-tec MySafe USB 3.0 M.2 SSD External Case (https://i-tec.pro/produkt/mysafem2/)

EEM2-U3C USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 - SATA M.2 box (https://www.axagon.eu/produkty/eem2-u3c)

and the disk doesn't show up.

I understand that this sandisk m.2 is a kind of hybrid between SATA and NVME (has a PCIe interface and uses AHCI protocol)

Does anyone came to the same situation with this disks? Anyone found a compatible USB enclosure for them?

It's actually a very early version of what we now know to be NVME. Its a 2260 form factor and was called at the time a PCIE M.2 SSD which is NVME. It is not SATA and the enclosures you are using will only work with SATA.
