HP laptop 14s-dq0029ur
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello.
I know that specifications mention that it's only for data transfer :

1 USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C™ (Data Transfer Only, 5 Gb/s signaling rate); 2 USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A (Data Transfer Only);

But could be there a way to make it charge? Or it's never possible?

Also I'd like to upgrade RAM to at least 8GB. Is it possible?

Since this is tightly related I'd also like to know how to charge my main laptop (HP Probook 430 g5) with Type-C charger? How you connect it which port(the large one(with a SS+Disk image) or the small one with just SS)?

Welcome to HP Community

I have gone through your Post and would like to help

It is not possible to charge your HP 14s-Dq0029ur through the USB Type-C port

As per the Service Guide: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06403450 you can upgrade yp to 16 GB RAM

I would also request you to create a new Post for your concerns with the HP Probook 430 g5 since it is a different product

Thank you
