840 G3
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I got assigned a brand new 840 G3 from company as work laptop. I am wondering what can I use the USB Type-C port on laptop for? It seems like I can use it for charging and data transfer, what about connecting a USB Type-C external monitor? If so, will the USB hub on monitor work via that single USB Type-C port?

Thanks,

/S

Hi,

For monitors, please try:

   http://store.hp.com/us/en/pdp/hp-usb-c-to-hdmi-display-adapter

The specs says it has the following ports

(1) USB 3.0 charging port
(1) USB 3.0 port
(1) USB basic type-C
(1) DisplayPort

For more information about that port, please read the following article
