Chrome OS

Hello,

I bought a hp chromebook 11a-na0021nr as a present about 1.5 months ago and just now we are setting it up. Just to find out that the USB port doent work. I plugged in a logitech combo and it doesnt detect it. The logitech combo works in other computers, except on the chrome. It is Chrome OS compatible, I triple checked.

I also connected a wired keyboard and mice, nothing. I think the usb port is deffective. Anyone experienced this issue and wasnt hardware related? The only way I can find HP will support me is if I drive to NJ from MA.... which is obviously ridiculous.

@paralatia

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I understand you have a USB-c port issue with your HP Chromebook.

  • Have you tried checking with different USB devices?
  • Did you make any changes on the settings of your PC prior to the issue?

A hard or forced reset erases all information in the computer memory. This forces the system to clear and reestablish the software connections between the BIOS and the hardware. A hard reset does not remove any local files or settings.

  1. Press the power button  and refresh button  for five seconds. The computer turns off, and then turns on again.

  2. If necessary, press power button again to turn on the laptop.

If a hard reset does not resolve the issue, contact HP support to replace the damaged part or computer. To check the warranty of your laptop, go to HP Customer Support - Product Warranty Check.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
