Hi:

See if this USB3 driver works...download, unzip and run the setup application.

I see your dilemma, since your notebook doesn't have a DVD drive...

OK, the only way I can think of to install the drivers is this...

Install windows 10.  Use the media creation tool.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

You can make a W10 USB flash drive installer using an 8 GB flash drive using another Windows PC, since your PC is not working.

Here are the steps to create the W10 USB flash drive installer...

  1. Select Download tool now, and select Run.
  2. If you agree to the license terms, select Accept.
  3. On the What do you want to do? page, select Create installation media for another PC, and then select Next.
  4. Select the language, edition, and architecture (64-bit or 32-bit) for Windows 10. You want 64 bit.

  5. Select which media you want to use:
  6. USB flash drive.  Plug in a blank USB flash drive with at least 8GB of space. Any content on the flash drive will be deleted.

If you are asked to enter a product key, check the 'skip box.  Don't worry about it not activating.

Then download and save the USB 3 driver I posted.  Save it in your downloads folder.

Install W7 and install it over the W10 installation, so it creates a Windows.old folder.

After W7 installs, you can explore the Windows.old folder, go to your user profile in the windows.old folder>downloads, and run the W7 USB driver from there.

Once the ports are working you can put the other drivers you need on the flash drive and install them that way.

Once you have some things installed, delete the windows.old folder by running the disk cleanup utility>click on the cleanup system files button on the lower left side of the window, and check all the boxes to delete the unneccesary files.

You're very welcome.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't know why that is happening, or what to do about it.

You may want to start a new post regarding that problem.
