Hello thanks for the reply 🙂

in the mean time I found this url to get extra information about the error code

https://support.hp.com/be-nl/help/hp-pc-hardware-diagnostics#boxBtmWhite2

and also this one

www.hp.com/embed/uefi

but when I try this with the 24 position error code I get the reply that the code is invalid

so I tried with another USB device, also a mouse but a different one

then a get another, different error code, be it very similar

but then again I get the same reply with this extra error code "invalid"

by the way: why do i have to provide the location... looks like the error code is location dependend... strange ... very much so

Anyway when I gave it a try... to locate the nearest HP tecnical support using the locator you suggested , adapted it a little 😉 https://support.hp.com/be-nl/help/service-center this doesn't look good imho

so i am going to try to repair it myself although my hopes are dim 😉

tx again for your support 🙂

regards

Hi @georgesgoossens,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

I see that you are facing hardware issues with the USB ports of your HP Pavilion 17-e133sb Notebook PC (ENERGY STAR).

I suggest that you contact HP Service Center in your location from this weblink to repair the unit: https://support.hp.com/us-en/help/service-center
Note: Select your country from the dropdown,  enter the city or postal code, select the product, change the radius, and click on search to locate the nearest HP Service center near your location.

Hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
