The laptop is HP Spectre x360 - 13 that I bought three days ago.
When I plug the Insta360 ONE X camera into the USB port, a message appears that says that USB device isn't recognized, then it will shutdown the camera as if the laptop kicks the camera off.
The same camera with the same cable work with all other 5 PCs (two Dell, Lenovo, Toshiba, and an HP elitebook 8470p).
I have updated BIOS and drivers, but the problem persists with this new Spectre laptop.
Does anyone know a fix for this problem?

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:
- Another thing you can try is to open Device Manager, expand USB Serial Bus Controllers, right-click on USB Root Hub and then click on Properties. Click on the Power Management tab and uncheck the Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power box.
- Try to reconnect the USB device and see if it is recognized.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Hi ECHO_LAKE,
Thank you for your input!
I followed your instructions and unchecked the "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" box to all the five listings:
- Generic USB Hub
- Intel(R) USB 3.10 eXtensible Host Controller - 1.10 [Microsoft]
- Intel(R) USB 3.10 eXtensible Host Controller - 1.10 [Microsoft]
- USB Root Hub (USB 3.0)
- USB Root Hub (USB 3.0)
After that, I did "Restart" to the laptop, and verified that all the above listings were still unchecked.
Then, reconnect the Insta360 ONE X to the USB port; turned on the camera.
The same sequence of events happened as before: the laptop displayed "USB device not recognized" and then turned off the camera.
BTW, the camera-to-laptop interface works fine via a USB-C to USB adapter to connect the camera to the laptop's USB-C port. But since it needs an additional dongle, it's a bit annoying.

Thank you for posting back.
I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue.
This confirms the USB ports are functioning correctly, therefore, it a compatibility issue with a USB camera that you're trying to use.
I would request you to contact our Support and our Support Engineers should be able to sort this out. HP Support can be reached by clicking on the following link: www.hp.com/contacthp/
