Hi, have a question about my HP 2000 laptop's USB ports.
I know that when I place my laptop in hibernation mode the USB ports shut down.
But, whenI place my laptop in sleep mode I see the USB ports are still funtional.
My question is do the USB ports put out the same amount of power in sleep mode as when the laptop is in full operational mode?
I ask because I have a USB battery charger for two rechargeable AA battery's, and it's taking way too long tocharge them. I put the laptop in sleep mode at night and if the USB port is putting out less, it would be understandable.
Hope someone can help, thanks, Pat011

Hi @Pat011,
Welcome to the HP Forums!
I understand from your posts that you are having an issue with your HP 2000 Notebook and USB ports not working in Hibernation mode.. Here is a link that shows you how to enable away mode. It enables your computer to continue performing tasks on the USB ports, such as recording television programs or sharing video and music, even if you walk away from the computer. Specifically, when the computer is in Away mode.

Thanks for the reply, I realize that the USB ports are shut down during hibernation. My question was, are the USB ports putting out less power during the sleep mode than when the PC is in ful funtion mode? They are funtional during sleep mode, but at full power?
Thanks, Pat011
