Example: Pavilion 360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

i am trying to connect a device so i can use two screens at a time.  My 360 will say  "output signal not found".  The device works on other computers but not the one i need it to.   How can I get the computer to recognize or accept the device?

Many USB-C ports are for data transfer only - they cannot be used to connect a monitor.

So very many "Pavilion x360" computer models in the world!

Guessing is useless.

How to find the exact answer?

Know your computer's actual model name / product number

Finding your Product Name, Product Number, or Serial Number

Please do NOT post the serial number.

How to read / understand the ports on your computer

Open the Support Home for the printer

Enter the name of your device

Open Category Manuals > Look for and open either the User Guide or the Service Guide

In the very first (possibly second) chapter, find "Left Side" and "Right Side" illustrations of your computer ports.

An explanation is included that describes the port characteristics
