Since finally getting the HP Thunderbolt Dock G2 to actually WORK with my HP ZBook15 G3, I don't event touch it! Recently, I had to re-build my laptop operating system because of performance issues, and now I have a new issue. I cannot STOP the Firmware Update from continually trying to UPDATE the Thunderbolt Dock G2. I keep postponing but it keeps coming back. I am VERY HESITANT to update because I have not had good luck with the updates actually working with my ZBooks. I have 2 slightly different models, and 3 docking stations throughout the house (home office, personal office, basement office). They all finally work with any version and Im happy with that. Does ANYONE know how to STOP the auto-update for this device? Message I receive is": Package Version 1.0.62.1 Firmware update ready to install. Save all work before continuing.

hello,
you should follow HP's manufacturer specifications and update the firmware to the latest version.
See all drivers:
https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-thunderbolt-dock/20075223/model/20075224
Latest firmware is 1.0.71.1 Rev.A
Safety, stability and improvements for the manufacturer's product are important. In case of problems, the manufacturer will always advise you to update the firmware.
best regards

hello,
if you want to work with the older version, check in the Windows Task Manager which process displays this update message and change to the folder. There you will find an executable file (.exe), simply rename it (.exe.old) and reboot your operating system.
