This error message displays every single I try to boot from only my NVME. I have enabled M.2 boot in bios.

Whenever I clean install Windows 10 to my NVME drive, and installation process is done and the computer boots, this error message is always displayed. I do not know what causes it, and I am desperately looking for answers.

Windows recoqnizes my NVME drive. I can change the boot order to M.2, but in Boot Options there is no drive that I can boot from, if I am trying to boot only with the NVME as the only drive.

How can I install windows to this drive, and boot from it?

Laptop: HP EliteBook 840 G2 Base Model

NVME: WDC PC SN530

It is an old machine. Please use M.2 SATA SSD and try again.

@Khedebneithir,

"I have enabled M.2 boot in bios."

Do you mean PCIe/M.2 SSD boot, as shown in the screenshot below, is enabled? If no, go into F10 BIOS -> Advanced -> Boot Options and tick it and save and exit. If yes, enter F9 and click on Boot from EFI File. Let me know if you see a huge string of numbers and characters or nothing. Whatever you see there may reveal the source of your problem.
