Hey, I hope you guys can help me. I am unable to calibrate my laptop’s battery. It is fairly new, has only 55 charge cycles.

Last week it suddenly started to drop battery directly from the 50s% to 7%. Hp support assistant and Hardware diagnostic windows and UEFI say it needs calibration.

I tried UEFI auto battery calibration method but it didn’t work. Hp website say in order to manually calibrate the battery you have to completely run down the battery and then charge it back up. The problem is I am unable to fully drain the battery because automatically drops to 7%.

It is really frustrating because I cannot do my work with peace of mind. Kindly, help me out.

Note: All my drivers and BIOS are uptodate.

I recommend that you replace the battery to resolve the issue.
