Hi @Abhay3011,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like there might be an issue specific to that USB port on your Victus laptop. Since the upper right USB port works with other devices like your phone and pen drives, but not with your mouse, the problem could be with the mouse itself or how it interacts with that specific port.

Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue.

Restart Your Laptop: Sometimes a simple restart can resolve temporary issues.

Check Mouse Compatibility: Ensure that your mouse is compatible with all USB ports. If it has software or drivers, try reinstalling them.

Test Another Device: Try connecting another USB device (like a different mouse) to the upper right port to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem is with the mouse or the port.

Update Drivers: Make sure your USB drivers are up to date. You can do this through Device Manager:

  • Right-click on the Start button and select "Device Manager."
  • Expand the "Universal Serial Bus controllers" section, right-click on the USB Root Hub(s), and select "Update driver."

Run Hardware Troubleshooter: Windows has a built-in troubleshooter that can help identify hardware issues. You can access it by going to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters > Hardware and Devices.

Check Power Management Settings:

  • In Device Manager, under "Universal Serial Bus controllers," right-click on each USB Root Hub and select "Properties."
  • Go to the "Power Management" tab and uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power."

Reset the Port: Sometimes USB ports can become unresponsive. Unplug all devices from that port, turn off your laptop, remove the battery (if possible), and hold the power button for 15 seconds. Then reconnect everything and turn it back on.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, it may be a hardware problem with the USB port itself.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
