Hello,
I am trying to create some space in my laptop and wanted to know if i was able to uninstall the following programmes and whether it would affect my laptop.
HP 3D driveguard
HP Connection Optimizer
HP JumpStart Apps
HP JumpStart Bridge
HP Support Assistant
HP support Solutions Framework
HP System Event Utility

Hi:
The first and last are required (3D Driveguard and HP System Event Utility).
The 3D driveguard protects the hard drive by parking the heads if you bump or drop the notebook while it is running.
The HP system event utility allows the Fn Keys to work to control brightness, etc.
If you use the HP orbit program, you need the HP support Solutions Framework and so does the HP support assistant.
If you don't want the HP Support assistant software, you need to uninstall that first, before uninstalling the HP support Solutions Framework.
This is what the connection optimizer does...This package provides HP Connection Optimizer (HP Sure Connect) for supported computer models that are running a supported operating system. HP Sure Connect automatically recovers the driver of a communications device that has stopped functioning.
