Hi:
You need this driver for that device...
This package provides the HP 3D DriveGuard software for supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system. HP 3D DriveGuard protects the hard drive by "parking the heads" if the notebook is accidentally dropped or is abruptly impacted by another object.

Are you 100% sure that is the hardware ID?
Because that driver should have worked.
You can try manually installing the driver as follows...
Go to the device manager.
Click on the Unknown device needing the driver.
Click on the driver tab.
Click on Update driver.
Select the Browse my computer for drivers option and browse to the driver folder that was created when you ran the file.
That folder will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp64144.
Make sure the Include subfolders box is checked and the driver should install that way.

Hi:
I zipped up and attached the driver folder below.
Download and unzip the file to its folder.
Then browse to the unzipped driver folder as I explained above.
Here is a partial copy and paste of the driver setup information file for sp64144, which was the newest driver available from HP for that version of the ProtectSmart/3D Driveguard hardware...

You need this driver for that ID that I zipped up and attached below.
Download and unzip the file to its folder.
Then browse to the unzipped driver folder as I explained above.
