Hello there,
I've upgraded RAM to 16 GB into my laptop HP ProBook 450 G10.
Reference to the below mentioned attachment taken from "HP support Assistant app", memory slot 1 does not show manufacturer information. Rather it shows "Unknown-[0x768A]". Although upgraded RAM is of Lexar with same specifications as default 8 GB installed RAM of Samsung.
Could anyone suggest upgrading RAM manufacturer info?

Hi:
If the memory is working, I wouldn't be concerned about it.
I don't see how it would be possible to answer your question.
I have a HP notebook and when I ran the free HWINFO app it did not report the manufacturer of the memory that HP installed. No data, other than there were 2 x 8 GB of DDR4-3200 MHz memory chips installed.
You can see if installing HWINFO app gives you the same non-information you're getting now, or if it does provide any details.

Hi,
Thanks for your kind feedback. Actually, I just want to know if there's any way to update the RAM manufacturer information so that HP support assistant app can show the manufacture information like the Samsung one.
Please let me know if there's any way to do this. Thanks

You're very welcome.
Unfortunately, there wouldn't be any way that I know of how that can be done.
These types of programs read what info is embedded in the hardware.
You wouldn't be able to edit that information.

Ok, Thank you for the quick response.
So how does the laptop read manufacture information of the 8 GB Samsung RAM which was pre-installed by HP at factory?
One thing more I want to ask, does HP ProBook 450 G10 laptop with I5 1335u processor support DDR5 RAM?

You're very welcome.
Chapter 1 of the service manual indicates the notebook only supports DDR4-3200 MHz memory.
DDR5 memory runs at a lower voltage than DDR4 memory and the slot in the DDR5 memory chip is cut in a different place than it is in a DDR4 memory chip making it impossible for a DDR5 memory chip to fit in a DDR4 memory slot.
