I dont have CD Rom and I have got this slot .I dont know what is this port for,

Please give me actual name of this port and also help me to know what cables or drives it supports.

Hi:

 

That port will only support a DVD drive.

 

It would be a SATA port and probably only SATA II at that.

If i install a DVD Drive and install SSD with a caddy,

Does it make sense?

No, it does not make sense.

 

Installing a SSD in a caddy where the DVD goes, will rob it of performance which is why someone wants to install a SSD in the first place.
