Just bought this model.  Bought a 2.5" SATA SSD for the second drive.  Bought the cable that connects the drive to the MoBo..  One end of the cable is the SATA, the other this 'ZIF' that fits into the 'ZIF' connector on the MoBo.  I've learned about ZIF connectors from searches.  My last challenge is figuring out how to 'unlock' this ZIF connector on the MoBo.  I'm not sure where to start prying on it to find the secret 'latch' that 'unlocks' it.  Or what tool works best.  My eyesight isn't the greatest and even a magnifying glass doesn't give me a clue where the 'latch' is.  Thank you in advance to whomever can suggest the correct approach to this.

I understand you're experiencing an issue with installing 2.5" SATA SSD for the second drive on your Laptop.

I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, I'm here to help you today.

Request you to take it to a service center or to a local store to so that you may not accidentally damage it.

Take care and have a great day ahead!

I asked for help to be able to DO IT FOR MYSELF, NOT have to PAY SOMEONE ELSE to do it FOR ME!

Your reply amounts to SELF-SERVING OPPORTUNISM for HP and its SOCK PUPPETS ! This is something

I would be CAPABLE of DOING FOR MYSELF if given clear instructions about WHAT TECHNIQUE is needed

to 'unlock' the ZIF so the cable end can be inserted.   THANK YOU FOR ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!

I FOUND the answer I was SEEKING, and it was directly from 'HP Support' ITSELF!

Here is the YouTube VIDEO that describes the process EXACTLY

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xVx4hRXKUJU

for how to 'unlock' the ZIF connector that handles the cable between

the HD and the MoBo and I post it HERE to help ANYONE ELSE needing

this information.

You're WELCOME!
