Best possible ram upgrades for my pc? (Name - HP-Laptop-15-fc0xxx, Ram Slots: 2, Default Gig Amount: 8gb, Target Amount: 16gb, Replacement technician? Repair/Replacement center[like microcenter]) sorry again if its not a notebook since this is in the notebooks section!

Notebook/laptop are two words for the same thing. Laptop has kind of fallen out of favor because they now get too hot to hold on your lap for long.
Here is the Service Manual:
See p. 2. Most models in this series have soldered on memory. I'm not sure how you ascertained yours has 2 slots but Windows will show 2 memory slots even on computers with soldered on memory. Models with memory slots use DDR4-3200 SO-DImm and you can likely install up to 32 gigs of memory even though the manual says it maxes at 16 gb. If your memory is DDR5 then it is soldered on. For models where its possible to do, memory upgrade instructions start at p. 36. If you determine you can do an upgrade I suggest Crucial memory like this:

Good luck.

Sure the big box computer stores have service departments and would do the memory upgrade if its possible to do it. You might also find a mom and pop type computer service store but those are getting hard to find.

No...soldered on means it cannot be upgraded except by replacing the whole motherboard which would cost as much as a new laptop. Only if it has memory slots and removeable memory modules can it be upgraded for anything approaching a reasonable cost. Microcenter is likely to charge maybe $150 in labor and the memory might cost $30 or 40 if it can be done. Task manager (ctrl-alt-del) and the performance tab will tell you the speed of the memory in your computer. If its 3200 mhz it can be upgraded. If its higher than that, your memory is soldered on and not upgradeable.
