To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:

Have you recently made software or hardware changes on the PC before the issue started?

Have you tried to use update troubleshooter to help you fix the issue.

 

In the meantime, let's try these steps here: 

 

1. Press windows + x key.

2. Go to control panel.

3. Select programs and features.

4. Check for previously installed updates.

 

If you find any Office xp files. You can delete them completely from your system.

 

If you are still having issues installing the Windows updates, go to the Microsoft website and use the Windows Update troubleshooter.

Then, restart the computer and run Windows Update again.

Could you please respond to this post with the results of the troubleshooting as this will help me with next course of action.
