Hi:

HP retired support for your PC since it is more than 10 years old.

This reputable driver website has the BIOS update for your notebook which is F.18.

HP Pavilion dv6-1210sa BIOS (driverscollection.com)

The only problem is the BIOS update was designed to run on Windows Vista or Windows 7.

I have no idea what will happen if you try to run the BIOS update on W10.

It may work fine, or it may permanently destroy your notebook rendering it inoperable.

I recommend that you update the BIOS using a supported operating system, or you leave well enough alone.

Thanks Paul for your advice I don't want to go back to win 7 as it was a pain on this laptop. I find win 10 faster and better. So I will leave well alone.
