Pavilian Notebook
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I'm unable to update version 1703. I always receive a message saying,

"We couldn't uninstall these apps...You'll have to remove them yourself...

These programs need to be uninstalled because they aren't compatable with the upgrade...

BIOS needs to be upgraded before you can upgrade to Windows 10."

What are they talking about? I just bought a new computer with Windows 10 already installed.  Anyways, how do I complete the update so I can more on to recieve future updates?

Thanks -

Greetings @Steve153

Welcome to HP Forums and Thanks for the post.

I understand that you are unable to install the creator update on your computer, is that right?

Not to worry, I will be glad to assist you.

Have you tried to update all the drivers using HP Support Assistant?

Recommend you run HP Support Assistant to update BIOS and other drivers on your computer. Click here to know more about HPSA.

Once all the drivers are updated, visit this Microsoft webpage and install creator update (1703) on your computer.

The notification you are getting that says some programs will be uninstalled, recommend you go through the list of applications that will get uninstalled.

It is usually just a warning, however, recommend you check the list of applications that are not compatible.

Keep me posted. Good Luck.

If we could have your model number we can help more. There is one particular AMD processor (A10-8700P) and there is a particular BIOS update that MUST be installed before the Creator Update will install.

Thanks for your help. I also went on the Microsoft webpage and found the updated download for BIOS. It worked. Thanks again for taking the time to respond. Peace
