How to add bios update without bios password, and I'm running Windows 10 pro 20H2 build 19042.630. on HP ProBook 430 G3 My bios update is long over due. I have done everything the HP assistant has thrown at me, and still no where. I have no warranty that was gone along time ago. Chatted with an agent he says I'm sorry you'll but have to get a new motherboard.
It's really tight knit security. I was so desperate I was going to take out the bios chip, then I woke up. I was doing some digging and I found this HP System Software Manager. Is this a good start getting an BIOS update. I tell it looks a lot involved.
Well thank you if you take the time out to read this. These are my specs:
Product: HP ProBook 430 G3
Number: Y0D92UP#ABA
System BIOS: N78 Ver. 01.15 - 11/07/2016
Processor Name: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6200U CPU @ 2.30GHz
My BIOS is Legacy, I know get it down. But I have to say this notebook is hanging in there

The BIOS chips in HP laptops are soldered to the system boards, so since they are not socketed, they are not replaceable.
That is also why HP insists on replacing system boards, because they can't replace the BIOS chips.
There is no way around the BIOS password issue short of replacing the system board.
I am a volunteer and I do not work for, nor represent, HP
