Pavillion DV6000
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi there,

I have 2x2GB RAM modules and I would like to install them in my HP Pavilion DV6000.

Notebook manual says it only supports up to 2x1GB RAM, but i read in forums that 4 GB work on a laptop with the same motherboard (Quanta 30BC).

Should I update the BIOS? Now it's F.2E version

Has anyone installed 4 GB?

Any suggestion?

Thanks in advance!

Hi:

If your notebook has an Intel processor and chipset, I believe that F.2E was the final BIOS release and 2 x 2 GB of memory should work.
