Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

Upon recommendation, I updated from Windows 10 to Windows 11. Now my external DVD/CD drive will not work. No ide ata/atapi processors located in the laptop device manager. DVD drive does show up in File Manager as drive D:, but keeps asking for disk, even though one is inserted. I've tried DVDs and CDs. Doesn't recognize them. Has anyone encountered this? Have a solution? Thanks, Kevin

What is your external external ODD ? You need new driver (if available) for it.
