Hi,
I have been checking this site https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05869091 to have a look if there were some updates/fixes for my HP 15-ay100no.
But my HP were not listed at all. Now I am a bit worried if there will ever be an update for my HP.
Or must I just be patient and keep checking the security bulletin for updates ?
The Windows 10 is updated and I have installed the BIOS update for my HP released early December 2017, but I still get this message when I check for SPECTRE and MELTDOWN.
Thanks in advance for any response
Regards

Unfortunately, you will have to wait along with many other owners.
HP is busy working on updates that address the Spectre and Meltdown threats.
What you can do is make sure that your choice of internet protection is kept up to date. I use ESET Smart Security.
"
- Make sure your browser is up to date. For Chrome or Firefox users:
- Mozilla has released information describing their response, including how Firefox 57 will address these security flaws.
- Google has stated, "Chrome 64, due to be released January 23, will contain mitigations to protect against exploitation." In the meantime, you can enable "Site Isolation" found in current stable versions of Chrome to provide better protection."

Thanks a lot for the quick response, erico
Okay, I will just keep on checking the security bulletin regularly and wait for the update .
I will sure take a look at your suggestions. I have never thought about the "site isolation" before.
Thanks again.

Bios update Ver 44 released on 26th JAn 18. This supercedes ver F43 released earlier on 12th Jan 18 and F42 released on 24th Dec 17.
I am not sure whether ver 44 is the solution for Spectre and Meltdown or a roll back as Intel had advised a roll back mentioning a rebooting issue in the earlier patch.
My HP spectre x360 13" ac-0xx is working fine with the ver F44 Bios

I just checked using the " InSpectre" tool from https://www.grc.com/inspectre.htm .
It showed that my Laptop is protected against Meltdown but not Spectre. Will have to wait for a newer Bios update.
