Updating BIOS issue
03-24-2021 05:24 AM

I have Laptop HP Pavilion g6-2349s. I want to update BIOS on motherboard 184A. From F.26 to F.2A. I had download from official HP site on the page with my product for Windows 8 x64 version, because it`s has no for Windows 10. After unpacking - InsydeFlash show "IHISI: Get platform info fail in SMI!!". So i just moved all unpacked files to the USB FLash, turned off laptop, entered to the "HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI" - "Firmware Management" - founded "01847F2A.bin" and tryed to update BIOS. But appeared inscription "The selected BIOS image was not available. You may select an alternate image file, or cancel the update.". Please, help me to resolve this problem. Thank You.

Actually, I have solved. I have reinstall Windows 10 to Win 8.1 and installed BIOS update pack for Win 8 from official page of my laptop on HP web-site. And everything works))
Link for page with BIOS update pack: https://support.hp.com/ua-ru/drivers/selfservice/hp-pavilion-g6-2300-notebook-pc-series/5330578/mode...
You need to choose Win 8 there.
