Hi! I am having a trouble while trying to replace my HDD with an SSD
The problem is that when I connect the SSD my laptop just don't recognize it at all. I tought that it might be because I didn't updated the BIOS (the version I have right now is the F.11 Rev.A), but while a really long test and fail trying to updating it trough HP Hardware Diagnostics UEFI and then from an USB, it just don't finish to update or either when I try to update it with my HDD connected it just doesn't work. I tried a lot to achive to update it but couldn't. So I researched a lot and when I got tired of trying all these things I found out that some people seem to have really huge problems when updating the BIOS to the F.51 Rev.A version and later.
After this really long and probably unnecesary explaination of this whole frustating process, I need to ask for help because I don't know what to do.
Do I keep trying to progressively update the BIOS from the older versions and on to see if it works?
Did I purchased the wrong SSD?
Please someone help me, I have been trough so much lmao 😂. At one point my laptop didn't wanted to boot at all because the BIOS update got interrupted by itself and fortunetely I found a very (very) tricky way to go back to the older version.
SSD Information:
- Crucial BX500
