Pavillion x360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Model - 14-cd0050TX

I wish to upgrade my RAM from 4GB DDR4 to 12GB(MAX CAPACITY). So, using one 4GB and 8GB memory stick isn't going to be problematic for the device in the future, right? As I would be making the purchase in a day-or-two. As, the system gets very slow when multitasking, and even there is a "beep" sound and the system freezes for a second-or-two at times

Hi:

According to the Crucial website the maximum memory is 2 x 8 GB for a total of 16 GB.

https://www.crucial.com/usa/en/compatible-upgrade-for/HP-Compaq/pavilion-x360-14-cd0050tx

For now, you can go with 12 GB but you eventually want to remove the 4 GB chip and replace it with the 8 GB chip.

12 GB will run in the lower performing Single Data Rate (SDR) mode.

Matched pairs of memory (2 x 4 GB, 2 x 8 GB) will run in the better performing Dual Data rate (DDR) mode.

I don't agree with the service manual specs.  If the slot can take an 8 GB chip, both slots should take an 8 GB chip.

That has to be an error.
