Spectra x360 Convertible 15-ch0xx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I have had a pending Windows 10 update on my Spectra x360 for about 6 weeks now. Every time I attempt to download it I am unable to because it says I need to update my system BIOS. Currently I am running BIOS F.23 but my friend, who also has a Spectra, is running BIOS F.28. I don't know what the latest BIOS update is. I have been checking my settings as well as my Support Assistant and have not seen any updates come in. Anyone have any idea what to do?

@r_hazlett Welcome to HP Community!

You may want to use the HP website for certain updates that may not go through the HP support assistant, also try reinstalling the application using the below steps if it isn't working as it used to:

  1. In Windows, search for an open Uninstall a program.

  2. On the Programs and Features window, select HP Support Assistant, then click Uninstall.

    Figure : Uninstall HP Support Assistant

    Uninstall screen from the Control Panel with HP Support Assistant highlighted
  3. Click Yes on the Programs and Features screen to confirm you want to uninstall HP Support Assistant.

    Figure : Uninstall confirmation

    Confirmation screen to uninstall HP Support Assistant with Yes selected
  4. Restart your computer to complete the process.

Once removed, restart the device and then, install the fresh copy of the same using this link: click here

Let me know how that pans out,
