I just wanted to know how much can my laptop be upgraded in terms of memory and disk ,because i remember i heard on HP somewhere that it can only upgrade to max 16 gb ram,but i heard someplace else that it can be upgraded to 32gb
Same question is for disk, how much max disk does my laptop support.
And provide where can i buy authorized products online or store near me.
Currently i have 2x4 gb ram ,and 512 gb ssd disk, with AMD Ryzen 5 5500U processor
will increasing my ram to 16gb or above and adding another 512gb ssd be enough to speed up my computer,
because mostly my memory is at 80-90 percent in use while surfing on internet, and if i open a game it turns into a racing car 😂

You're very welcome.
I would go with the 16 GB + 4 GB configuration and then if you ever want to max out the memory, you can remove the other 4 GB chip and install another 16 GB chip.
Otherwise, your only other option really is to either remove both 4 GB chips and install 2 x 8 GB of memory and not think about upgrading to 32 GB because that would be a waste of money tossing out 2 x 4 GB of memory and then tossing out 2 x 8 GB of memory.
Yes, the 20 GB of memory will only run in single channel mode, but the higher amount of memory should offset that deficiency.
2 x 16 GB of memory will run in dual channel mode if you ever decide to do that.

Below is the link to the service manual.
Chapter 1 has the memory upgrade information.
Maintenance and Service Guide (hp.com)
If you want to install more than 2 x 8 GB of memory, you can run this report to see if that would be possible.
1. In the search box, search for cmd and click Run as administrator.
This will open the command prompt.
2. After the command prompt is opened, type wmic memphysical get maxcapacityEx and press the enter key.
There, it will show the maximum RAM capacity your PC's motherboard can support.
The capacity is shown as Kilobytes, so you have to convert it to Gigabytes by dividing the number provided in the report by 1,048,576.
If the report indicates you can install 32 GB of memory, then this should be a compatible 16 GB memory chip.
The notebook only has support for one M.2 NVMe SSD so if you need more storage, you will have to replace the existing 512 GB NVMe SSD with one having a greater storage capacity.
Your notebook's M2 SSD slot is PCIe Generation 3.0.

which will be better, 2x8 gb ram or 1x4gb(which is currently installed) + 1x16gb ram, because currently i have a 2x4gb ram inside, and i was thinking of buying 1x16gb and make it a total of 20gb ram, but i heard that two small rams in two slots is better than 1 big ram in one slot
so will it work properly if there is this much difference in the rams of the two slots, or should i go for 2x8gb rams
Thank you so much for your replies
