Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

 

I am looking to find out the following upgrade options for my laptop model, HP Pavilion 15-p045TX : 

1. Can I upgrade to an SSD upto 500GB?

2. Does the mother board have any slot for M.2 SATA or M.2 NVMe based SSDs?

Hi,

No. It does not have an M2 slot for an extra SSD. What you can do is replace the 2.5" HDD with a 2.5" SATA3 SSD such as the 2.5" Samsung 860 Evo or similar of your desired capacity.

On page 105 of service manual you can see the steps to replace the drive

You will need to reinstall the OS on the SSD. It will give a great performance boost in everyday use.
