Product: Compaq Presario C700

Can i replace my intel pentium dual core processor on compaq presario C700 to any other processor. Also another question is that what is the maximum size of ram i can upgrade to in this laptop, right now i have two ram of 1 GB each placed in each slot.

Hi:

 

It depends on what chipset your notebook has.

 

If it has the Intel GM965 chipset you can upgrade to this processor...Intel T8300 2.40-GHz processor.

 

If it has the Intel GL960 chipset, the best processor you can upgrade to is the Intel T5750 2.00-GHz processor

 

The maximum memory your notebook can take is 2 x 1 GB, so you are already at the max.
