My laptop is now 12 years old and very slow. The battery is not working. It has 2G memory. I want the laptop to be faster. I want to upgrade the memory. But I am not sure what to do or what parts will be compatible with the laptop, The specs are as follows:
Operating System: Windows 10 Pro 32-bit Version: 19043.1110 (recently installed)
System Type: 32-bit operating system, x64-based processor)
Microprocessor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual CPU T3400 @ 2.16GHz
System memory: 2G (but can accommodate 4G)
System Board: 360C 09.48
System BIOS: F.32
Can this laptop be upgraded or would it be best to just buy a new one?
Thanks for the help.

While it CAN be upgraded, only you can determine what is "best" for you.
Upping the memory to 4GB will help performance somewhat as will replacing the current laptop SATA drive with a 500GB SSD.
You will notice immediate speed improvement from the SSD.
