Hi,
I have an HP notebook 15-BS058ca. The processor is an Intel Core i5-7200U @ 2.50GHz, the socket is FCBGA1356. This CPU processor is now compatible with Windows 11. It is a good laptop, 1TB, touch, new battery, 16GB Ram, etc.
I want to upgrade the CPU processor. Today, the better CPU processor compatible with the same socket is Intel Core i7-8650U @ 1.90GHz (CPU Mark: 6422 vs 3410). Is it possible to be upgraded?
I already have upgraded the CPU processor of an older one (with VGA output!). It was not totally welded. Is that the case? If the answer is: No, you can't, and Yes, it is totally welded, HP must include re-use and recycling in its values.
I hope to upgrade it.

Your Service Manual- http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05493257.pdf shows that the CPU is soldered onto the motherboard. The only option is to replace the motherboard with a faster CPU soldered on. That has it's own drawbacks, mainly finding a good one. Page 20 shows the part numbers for motherboards that work in that model.
