Can't find the exact service manual for this model, so not entirely sure. The model I am considering purchasing has a 1 TB PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSD (factory). I think what the manual says that this is the largest size supported. I want to upgrade this to a 2TB if possible, just not sure I'm reading the manual correctly, and, I can only find a generic & old service guide for this model (manual is found under HP ENVY 17 Laptop PC 17-ch2000 (4U9X6AV). Does the service guide tell you what options you may have purchased? or does it tell you what is compatible? If the 1TB SSD is a 2280 can I replace with a 2TB 2280 (is the 2280 part the only factor?)

Hi:
Generally, the drive storage capacities are just what HP offered in the model series, not the maximum capacity supported.
For example: The Crucial memory/SSD website indicates that they offer NVMe SSD's up to 4 TB in storage capacity for the model series.
