I want to upgrade the processor and ram for my laptop (HP Notebook - 14-am037na) from core i3 to ,i5 or i7. Is it possible?

Hi,

It is not possible to upgrade the processor as it is integrated on motherboard (soldered). You would need to replace the whole motherboard.

You can upgrade the RAM to max 16GB of DDR3L 1600Mhz (2x8GB)

At the moment you have one stick of 8GB and one empty slot. You can purchase from your preferred brand such as Crucial, Corsair...

On page 52 of service manual you can see how to get to the slots:

Another upgrade which would give a more noticable boost to performance would be to replace the mechanical hard drive with a SSD.
