Hello,
I have a HP Pavilion G7-1316dx notebook PC With the A60M UMA motherboard and the A4-3305 processor. I am running windows 10 64-bit.
I want to upgrade this laptop as much as possible and my first question is
Is it possible to replace the motherboard with A60M DSC HD6470/1G which is replacement part # 649950-001??
If that is possible what is the fastest processor that motherboard can accept?
Can either my original Motherboard A60M UMA or the A60M DSC HD6470/1G accept the A8-3550MX or A8-3530MX??
Thank you very much for your help!!

Its specs

Manual for the series

Part # 649950-001 is for 65 machines from different series

It may not physically fit and ports would have different location. From its manual,
- you can upgrade to AMD A8-3520M 2.50 GHz processor and
- add 4GB more RAM to slot 2 to have 8GB using https://www.crucial.com/memory/ddr3/ct51264bf160b/ct7096169
- Replace its 320GB 5400RPM) with 500GB or more 2.5" SSD using https://www.crucial.com/ssd/mx500/ct500mx500ssd1/ct11323359
Your machine would have a new life.
Regards.
