Hi,

Is it possible to upgrade my CPU, currently i3 6006u model to i5 8250u without changing the motherboard?

My laptop model is 14-bs577tu.

Hi:

Unfortunately, that would not be possible.

All Intel CPUs since the 5th gen core processors came out have been an integral part of the motherboard.

You're very welcome.

You can upgrade the memory, change out the HDD for a SSD, and upgrade the WiFi card.
