I need to change the logic board on my folio 9470m.
Currently, it has the i5 processor, the part number listed in the HP KB is "702849-601"
Intel Core i5-3427U processor (1.80 GHz (2.8-GHz max turbo frequency), 3MB cache) for use in models with Windows 8 Professional
Last 3 digits I believe refer to the operating system (601 win8 pro, 501 win8 std)
The i7 board that I want is also listed for this laptop as "702848-xxx"
Intel Core i7-3667U processor (2.00 GHz (3.2-GHz max turbo frequency), 4MB cache) for use in models with Windows 8 Professional
Online photos of the used logic boards look to be the same, including external port layout and board shape. However, I just want to make sure I can use the i7 logic board. thanks.

The series have many models/products but all modesl/products use SAME case therefore the holes (for screws) and other parts will fit.
The board you are looking for is Intel Core i7-3687U processor (2.10 GHz, 4-MB cache) for use in models with Windows
8 Standard part # 717844-501.
Everything in included and please note it has new license for Windows 8 Standard you can't reuse Windows old license key.

As you can see: the board is not available from HP now, you have to find elsewhere such as Amazon, eBay ...
Regards.

@banhien
Thank you, pages 19 and 20 are more comprehensive. I know my laptop does not have HD+ screen, so I have ignored those board numbers.
For my purpose I want to explore the following i7 boards.
702849 i5 1.8GHz (my current board)
702848 i7 2.0 GHz
717844 i7 2.1GHz - This is a new discovery on page 20
What you are implying then is that it should work? this is what i'm assuming.... physically the board should fit and any chipset related differences should be already on the board.
