I only have a 2gb graphics card in my laptop and was wondering if it was possible to get a 6gb or even 8gb upgrade? I know its only possible with some laptops but not sure about this one...

I don't know what is your HP Envy 17 But normally you can't upgrade video card on normal consumer machines because the video card is soldered to its motherboard, You have to replace the whole mother board with a new one (if available) and you have to pay for new Windows 10 license because motherboard, video card and Windows key are on one piece of hardware.

Regards.
