What are the best possible specs for  an SSD Upgrade on an ENVY laptop i5 ? 1 or 2 terabyte and can I include a ram upgrade to 16 Gig??

The memory is an integral part of the motherboard and cannot be upgraded.

 

HP offered M.2 SATA SSD's up to 512 GB in the model series, but I don't know of any reason why you couldn't install a 1 or 2 TB M.2 SATA SSD in your notebook.

 

Something like this:

 

WD Blue SA510 1TB, M.2 SATA SSD, up to 560 MB/s, Includes Acronis True Image for Western Digital, Di...

 

NVMe SSDs would not be supported.
