Hi:

The Pentium P6200 is a member of the Arrandale processor family.

Intel Pentium Processor P6200 3M Cache 2.13 GHz Product Specifications

Chapter 1 of the service manual indicates that the P6200 processor is the only Arrandale processor offered in the HP 630 model series.

No Intel 1st Gen dual core Arrandale processors were offered.

This PC benchmark site list reports of users with various configurations of the HP 630 and I do see a couple of folks that must have installed 1st gen Intel core processors.

UserBenchmark: HP 630 Notebook PC Compatible Components

I see one report with an i5-560M and a i3-370M.

I don't see any that installed any dual core i7 first gen Intel core processors.

Since HP did not offer any Intel 1st Gen core processors in your notebook, anything you try would be an experiment.

Intel 2md gen core processors are not supported in your notebook, as the chipset only supports the Arrandale processors.
