I would like to upgrade the SSD and RAM for my Pavilion 15-bc040tx , may I know what type of SSD and RAM are compatible  ?

 

And what is the maximum size of SSD support and the maximum amount of RAM modules are supported?

If you wanted to install a larger capacity NVMe SSD than 512 GB that should be possible as long as the drive is single-sided so that it fits in the memory slot.

 

If you want to see if your notebook can support more than 2 x 8 GB of memory, you can run this command in Windows Powershell as administrator:

 

Get-CimInstance -ClassName Win32_PhysicalMemoryArray | Select-Object MaxCapacityEx, MemoryDevices
