HP Pavilion dv7t-7000 CTO Entertainment Notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Product Name: HP Pavilion dv7t-7000 CTO Entertainment Notebook PC

Product Number: A3F79AV

Hello, I've been looking for upgrade information for a HP Pavilion dv7t-7000 CTO Entertainment Notebook PC (A3F79AV). I've found information for the Quad Core edition but that doesn't help me. I've found stuff for the dv7t-7000, but its not the CTO edition. Is this notebook even upgradable?

I found this manual but this is for all dv7 notebooks, http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c03221579.pdf
Mine has 10gb of ddr31333mhz, and this manual says that dv7 notebooks support 16gb of ddr3 1600mhz memory on page 11 .

Thanks,

Blake

Hi:

You would use the service manual from this page.

HP Pavilion dv7t-7000 CTO Entertainment Notebook PC Manuals | HP® Customer Support

Your notebook supports up to 2 x 8 GB of DDRL 1600 memory.  The 1333 MHz memory is slowing it down a little.

You can replace the 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a 2.5" solid state drive.

You should be able to upgrade the wifi card to this model...

Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 802.11 ac 2x2 WiFi + BT 4.0    HP Part # 710661-001

You can find this model wifi card on eBay.  Search by the HP part number, not the model of the wifi card.

Those would be the only upgrades I can think of that you could perform on your notebook.
